Inspired by ceramics and frescoes in the Palace of Knossos, Crete. In this ancient Minoan society, women's elevated status is evident through their position and focus in artwork. It is believed to be one of the richest examples of a matriarchal society in Europe. 

"Ladies Who Brunch" elevates a commonplace but sacred activity for women and female friendship.

The Modern Rituals series will include at least two more paintings showing other feminine rituals of today, presented on ceramics to symbolically preserve and signify their importance.
