Ahead of going into production on my debut feature film, Spinsters, I filmed 9 interviews with single women aged 25 to 70. Focusing on the themes of the feature film, this content series is designed to begin building my film's audience through a 14-week campaign on YouTube and Instagram.

My debut feature film Spinsters goes into production in 2027 with an exciting and experienced team. The comedy screenplay has already placed in international screenwriting contests and festivals, including HollyShorts and Stage 32.
CAGED

This short film was inspired by women's stories of harassment and assault in London, and by a collective desire to run freely at night without fear. The main character, Kyra, is always framed between bars on a static shot when she is not moving freely in the outside world. By contrast, running scenes were shot handheld and on gimbal, to follow her freedom of movement.
Logline: Kyra begins a dangerous pastime: running alone in the small hours of the night. She encounters the darkest beings of city life, but the most frightening will turn out to be her primal self.

Joe's song referenced nostalgia and fears of ageing, prompted by his becoming a father. His vintage wardrobe inspired me to think of the Guy Ritchie / Tarantino mafia genre, and swap typical props (watches, cash, guns etc) for kids' toys instead.
Careless Star

Shot in four hours at sunrise, the visual concept was inspired by the textures of the natural landscape on the south east coast of Kent. The contrast between sand/silk, seaweed/sequins, and mesh/water evoke mermaid and fantasy stories to bring the song's themes of fated love, separation, wishes and romance to life.

Five micro-episode comedy series inspired by true dating stories. Each episode is a single scene, in a single location, about a character who is single. Shot in Kent in July 2022 by DOP Caroline Papadimos, the full series is available to watch on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
The Confessional

Nine strangers' secrets are leaked to the public after a trendy new wellness app is hacked. But is there more to the story?​
This web series was produced during the first 2020 lockdown, inspired by Black Mirror and dystopian drama. As well as nine short episodes in the form of confessional monologues, I created an online footprint for the fictional app, with an Instagram page, social media posts, fake news headlines and a website. ​

Frustrated with my generation's then lack of political engagement, I created a video using makeup to illustrate their self-censorship in not registering to vote. The video was picked up by the national press, Sky News, and received millions of views.
